What Does CPCI Believe?

As a Christian organization CPCI has adopted the following Statement of Faith, believing it to be consistent with the revelation of God in sacred Scripture:

Article 1

We believe the Bible1 is verbally inspired by God2 is inerrant3 in the original autographs, and is of supreme and final authority4 in faith and life.

Article 2

We believe in one God,1 eternally existing2 in three persons:3 the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Article 3

We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit,1 born of a virgin,2 and is true God,3 and true man.4

Article 4

We believe that man was created in the image of God,1 that he sinned2 thus incurring not only physical death,3 but also that spiritual death which is separation from God;4 and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature5 and are sinners in word, thought and deed.6

Article 5

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins1 as a sinless representative2 and substitutionary sacrifice,3 and that all who believe in Him4 are justified5 on the grounds of His shed blood.6

Article 6

We believe in our Lord’s resurrection,1 His ascension2 into Heaven,3 and His present life there as our High Priest and Advocate.4

Article 7

We believe in the visible,1 personal2 return of Jesus Christ to earth and the establishment of His Kingdom.3

Article 8

We believe that salvation is by grace alone,1 through faith alone,2 in Christ alone,3 and that all who believe in the Lord Jesus4 by faith alone are born from above and thereby become children of God.5 We believe that saving faith in Christ results in a Holy Spirit–led life,6 and that faith without works is dead.7

Article 9

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust,1 the judgment2 and everlasting happiness of the saved in a literal Heaven,3 and the Judgment4 and everlasting conscious suffering of the lost in a literal hell.5
