We're excited to bring a powerful new program lineup here at Way Truth Life Radio.  Starting on Monday June 2, 2008 we will add some great new programs to our broadcast day.

Since we began broadcasting in 1978, our ministry has been characterized as Christ-centered, Gospel preaching and Bible teaching.  Our passion has been to clearly proclaim Christ (Colossians 1:28) with clear Bible teaching.  No matter what the topic, we believe Christ is the answer and God's Word speaks to us in powerful ways.

Sadly, many Christian radio stations across the nation today are actually abandoning the teaching of God's Word!  This is having a dreadful impact on our country.

Our ministry refuses to go the way of this "popular", man-centered  approach.  More than ever, we are passionately committed to proclaiming Christ, preaching the Gospel and teaching God's Word.  Our new programming reflects that passion.
 

Some may be asking, "Why the change"?

The reasons for the change:

1. Dealing with a programming gridlock.  For many, many years, listeners have asked us to add certain well-known programs, like "Grace to You" and "Family Life Today" to our program lineup.  We have had to constantly turn down such requests because in order to "put something on" we have to "take something off".  In order to maintain the 50% teaching/talk programming to music ratio, this greatly limits our "availabilities" (time slots) for adding programming.
   
   We got to a point where we needed to take a hard look at some ministries -- like Back to the Bible and Insight for Living -- and frankly acknowledge that these ministries have enjoyed an unusually long run (28-30 years) on our stations.  Most stations limit program tenure to 5-10 years, so a 28-30 run is highly unusual. 
   
   We come to a point, though, when we must acknowledge that we must make way for fresh voices to minister on our airwaves.  Like a great pastor who has faithfully served in a pulpit for many, many years, there comes a time when he must step aside and allow the next leader God has appointed to continue that pulpit ministry.  Such a move, while perhaps initially painful, often allows God to take that congregation "to the next level".  Such is the case with programs like "Back to the Bible" and "Insight for Living".  We acknowledge that these ministries are wonderful.  But their are OTHER radio ministries of equal (or even better) caliber and commitment to clear biblical teaching and preaching.
    

2. Biblical clarity is desperately needed in this day of rampant compromise and confusion.   Biblical illiteracy in the American church is at an all time high.  Meanwhile, discernment is "in the cellar".  The evangelical, so-called "Bible-believing" church is getting mixed up in things and practices that would have shocked an earlier generation.  The result of this is sky high divorce rates, teen pregnancy rates, blatant sin and compromise.  We cannot afford to remain silent while the American church rots from the inside out.
   
   The way to deal with this -- and more importantly to solidly ground the church -- is with strong, clear, pointed Bible teaching.  Such Bible teaching was common just a generation ago.   Tragically, it is rare today.  We are working to make sure our programming is clear in being Christ-centered, Gospel preaching and Bible teaching.
    

3. After many, many years of making few changes in our programming, we knew it was time to freshen things up.  This is perhaps the least of our reasons, but still a consideration behind this decision.  We believe it is time to re-tool so that Way Truth Life Radio can be there until Jesus returns.

The most important thing we want you to understand is we have not changed as a ministry.  While many Christian radio stations today are taking the wrecking ball to their programming and removing Bible teaching from their airwaves, we are doing just the opposite.  You will hear us stronger than ever in our Christ-centered, Gospel preaching and Bible teaching commitment.

A few years from now, when Way Truth Life Radio begins HD Radio broadcasting, we will have a second broadcast channel available on air.  We anticipate dedicating that channel to "all teaching/all talk" format.  This will allow us to bring back several of the programs that had to move out to make room for the new programs.
