The attack on the God's definition and design of marriage continues to rage across this country. Now, the controversy has hit central Pennsylvania. State College mayor Bill Welch, in what may be a first for public officials in Centre County, has agreed to preside at a sameP-sex "commitment ceremony" this Sunday, March 30th. Same-sex marriage or civil unions does not have legal standing -- so far -- in Pennsylvania. NOW is the time to stand up for God's design and plan for marriage as being between one man and one woman. PENNSYLVANIA FAMILY VALUES RALLY ON THE PSU CAMPUS When: 2:00pm Saturday March 29, 2008 Where: Old Main building on the Penn State University Park campus. Who: Families and individuals who want to stand in support of God's design of marriage being for "one man, with one wife, for life." Why? Those who support the legitimization -- indeed legalization -- of homosexual sin, including homosexual marriage are taking a public stand for their agenda. To remain silent at such a time communicates the wrong message by default. Christians are called to "contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints" (Jude 3). Throughout the ages, Christians have taken a public stand against the advance of ungodliness and in support of what God says, according to the Bible. PLEASE NOTE: This is event is not a protest. Rather it is a platform of SUPPORT for God's design, as clearly described in the Bible, for marriage and family. The rally has been deliberately set at a different venue and time than that of the same-sex "commitment ceremony". |
