This year's Sharathon theme is "BUILDING
ON A FIRM FOUNDATION" As always,
this Sharathon will be just as fun, exciting and spiritually
satisfying as in years past. Sharathon is only 3 days
in length. That's right: just 3 days!

Ed Fleming “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. “But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.” (Matthew 7:24-27). These words of Christ show the importance of building on a firm foundation, of hearing and obeying the Word of God. Failure to do so results in great disaster. As Christians we must build our lives, homes and churches upon the Words of Christ (the Bible). It is the only sure foundation in light of the times we live (1 Corinthians 3:11). Storms and winds will come but they cannot topple a life built upon the Scriptures. For more than 28 years Central Pennsylvania Christian Institute (CPCI) has been committed to building on “The Rock”, Christ Jesus (1 Corinthians 10:4). Through the spoken word and music we remain faithful to our legacy of the Christ-centered, Biblically-based mission of building lives and homes on this solid foundation. It is through the prayers and financial gifts of listeners like you that we are able to continue this vital ministry here in central Pennsylvania. We are thrilled to welcome back our good friend Joe Emert this year, who will give us truly "front row seats" to our missionary radio project in Papua New Guinea, Wantok Radio Light. Joe is now dedicating his life to missionary radio outreach. Our Pre-Sharathon drive is
so important! Our Sharathon goal is $330,000.
This represents a significant portion of our annual operating budget.
It is important that we begin Sharathon 2006 with 50% of the goal
already raised. That's $165,000. By having a strong
Pre-Sharathon response, we can keep the Sharathon to just three

Joe has been involved with Christian radio since his teen years. He is President of WMVV/New Life Radio in Georgia. He is a very strong force behind the formation of Wantok Radio Light. We all agree that
the Sharathon goal of $330,000 is a large sum of money to raise over
just three days. That is just the reason it is so important that a
significant amount of the goal be raised before the on-air portion of
Sharathon starts.
You can do that by filling out our On-Line Sharathon Faith Promise Form right now. That way, the full amount of your faith-promise will be counted toward the Sharathon goal, and at the beginning of Praise and Prayer Day prior to the Sharathon proper on Monday October 3, we will announce our starting point. If we can begin the phone-in part of Sharathon with 50% of our goal committed it will be cause for great celebration. Your action right now can help us to a very significant milestone on the way to a successful Sharathon. So don’t delay, let us know how you intend to support the ministries of CPCI over the next twelve months. |
