Once again, a portion of each Sharathon gift goes to a missionary radio project... Now, by spreading Wantok Radio Light, Papua New Guinea's first Christian radio network through the distribution of rugged, solar-powered, fixed tuned radios!

Looked at this priceless look of happiness on the face of a Papuan hearing Christian radio for the FIRST TIME IN HIS LIFE (click on image for a larger picture!)

During this year's Sharathon, a portion of every Faith Promise made during Sharathon will go toward the purchase of solar powered, fixed-tuned portable radios.   

Each radio, designed by HCJB World Radio, is rugged and digitally fixed-tuned to the Wantok Radio Light frequencies.  Because they are solar-powered, those in areas without electricity will receive the Christian radio ministry of Wantok Radio Light!

In the Papuan culture where family and tribe are important, a radio like this could be shared (and listened to) among 20 to 30 people in the same extended family!  Think of it as "putting a missionary in every home".

It is our sincere prayer that we can send out as many of these missionary radios as possible and bring the JOY of life in Jesus to thousands more!

The History of CPCI's Involvement with the Wantok Radio Light Project

• Sharathon 2003 - Way Truth Life Radio donors helped to make possible the building of our sister station in Lae, PNG.
   
• Sharathon 2004 - we continued earmarking a portion of every Sharathon gift towards WRL.  Funding was directed toward the construction of a satellite downlink to feed all the repeater stations nationwide.
   
• Sharathon 2005 - The generous giving of Way Truth Life Radio listeners helped to fund Gerald Bustin's “Story Bilong Wantok”.  Gerald speaks fluid Pidgin and when it's time for Gerald's program, Papuans run to radio!
