Sharathon is an exciting three days of fundraising so that CPCI can continue strong in the Lord's work for the year ahead!

Our Goal: $365,000

This year's Sharathon theme is "All Aboard the Sharathon Express!"   As always, this Sharathon will be just as fun, exciting and spiritually satisfying as in years past.   Sharathon is only 3 days in length.  That's right:  just 3 days!

There's a lot of great things going on in Sharathon 2005.   Check out the SHARATHON NEWS column at right and the Quick Links column on the left of this and every Sharathon 2005 page on this site.

There's a great story behind this year's Sharathon!  "Little Nit...The Stoutest Little Steamer on the CPCI Line" has been chosen to pull the heavy train up the l"Little Nit" (In Christ I Can!)ong, steep grade. He is fully aware that he has been assigned a huge task, but he has confidence, not in his own strength, but in two dependable powers. First and foremost, he trusts in the power of Christ to aid him. Unlike another famous engine, asked to do a similar job, "Little Nit" chugs "With Christ I can" not "I think I can."   Click here for the endearing story of "Little Nit"

We are thrilled to welcome two wonderful Sharathon guests this year, who will give us truly "front row seats" to our missionary radio project in Papua New Guinea, Wantok Radio Light.  They are Gerald Bustin, who has served on the South Seas mission field for 50 years.   Returning this year is our dear friend Joe Emert, who is now dedicating his life to missionary radio outreach.  Click here for more info on our Sharathon Guest Hosts!

Our Pre-Sharathon drive is so important!  The Summit of Sharathon Mountain stands at $365,000, or $1000 per day for the next year.  Halfway up the mountain is the great "Hairpin Curve." Travelers from the world over come to ride the train around the famous bend, and we hope to chug our way past it even before the on-air portion of the Sharathon begins. The rails start curving at $150,000, and straighten out again at $182,500. This is the Pre-Sharathon Registration Goal, and to reach it we will need the help of many of our friends.  Read the Pre-Register item at right under the "Sharathon News" column.

Some may be unfamiliar with what a CPCI Sharathon is.   Others think it's just another boring on-air fundraiser.

Think again!  Click here to get the scoop!

We all agree that the Sharathon goal of $365,000 is a large sum of money to raise over just three days. That is just the reason it is so important that a significant amount of the goal be raised before the on-air portion of Sharathon starts. Can we count on you to help us get a running start toward the goal?

Our Pre-Sharathon Goad, rounding past "Hairpin Curve" is $182,500. To reach it we will need the help of many of our friends.

You can do that by filling out our On-Line Sharathon Faith Promise Form right now.    That way, the full amount of your faith-promise will be counted toward the Sharathon goal, and at the beginning of Praise and Prayer Day prior to the Sharathon proper on Monday October 3, we will announce our starting point. If we can begin the phone-in part of Sharathon with 50% of our goal committed it will be cause for great celebration. Your action right now can help us to clear "Hairpin Curve", a very significant milestone on the way to a successful Sharathon. So don’t delay, let us know how you intend to support the ministries of CPCI over the next twelve months. And don’t forget that when you pre-register you qualify for special prize drawings.

We precede Sharathon 2005 with Praise & Prayer Day on Monday October 3 from 6:00am to 6:00pm.  Since we introduced Praise & Prayer Day two years ago, it has been a tremendous hit and blessing with our listeners!
