On a summer day in the 1960’s missionary pastor Paris Reidhead preached a revival sermon that shook his audience titled, “Ten Shekels and a Shirt”. It would be a message of warning about the threat of Humanism invading the church.

"I'm afraid that it's become so subtle that it goes everywhere. What is it? In essence it's this: That this philosophical postulate that the end of all being is the happiness of man, has been sort of covered over with evangelical terms and Biblical doctrine until God reigns in heaven for the happiness of man, Jesus Christ was incarnate for the happiness of man, all the angels exist in the... Everything is for the happiness of man! AND I SUBMIT TO YOU THAT THIS IS UNCHRISTIAN !!!"

Way Truth Life Radio will air this powerful sermon 9:00pm on Monday July 2nd and 2:00pm Tuesday July 3rd. Don’t miss “Ten Shekels and A Shirt”, with Paris Reidhead --it will greatly impact your life.

Steve Borger

On Monday, November 26, 2007 our very dear brother in the Lord and faithful ministry co-laborer Steve Borger suddenly went home to be with the Lord.

Steve and his family have served faithfully in our ministry first with Camp Kanesatake and then over a number of years in leadership of our Puppets with a Purpose ministry.  He tirelessly and sacrificially gave of his time and talent to the Lord's work, both in his local church and here at CPCI.

Chaz (Charles) and Susan (formerly Allison) McCracken were married on Saturday June 23rd in Roaring Spring.  Both have served in our ministry for many years -- and that is how they met.  It was a beautiful, truly Christ-centered wedding, expressing the hearts of these two wonderful people who desire to serve the Lord as one.

Keep Chaz and Susan in your prayers as they begin their new life together... in the Lord!

9/11 Remembered:
A Call to Prayer

On September 11th, 2001 our nation was brought to her knees when thousands lost their lives at the hands of terrorists. But as the years have passed many have lost the sense of dependence on God that followed those attacks. To commemorate the 6th anniversary of this tragic day in American history, we invite you to listen to a special national concert of prayer, produced by the Moody Broadcasting Network and heard on Way Truth Life Radio.

Starting at 8:00pm on Tuesday, Sept. 11, hosts Wayne Peterson and Anita Lustrea will guide us through a 2-hour prayer journey -- which will include key Psalms read by Mike Kellogg, live worship music from Keith & Kristyn Getty, and spiritual insights from Nancy Leigh DeMoss, Jack Hayford, Anne Graham Lotz, and other Christian leaders.

Live on Way Truth Life Radio

It's a debate on what is arguably the most critical question of our time: the existence of God.  A leading atheist, Dr. Richard Dawkins, author of the bestselling book "The God Delusion" faces off in a debate with leading Christian apologist, Dr. John Lennox.

The debate will feature Professor Richard Dawkins, Fellow of the Royal Society and Charles Simonyi Chair for the Public Understanding of Science at Oxford University.

Dr. John Lennox (MA, MA, Ph.D., D.Phil., D.Sc.), Reader in Mathematics and Fellow in Mathematics and Philosophy of Science, Green College, University of Oxford.

The BBC has labeled Professor Dawkins  “Darwin’s Rottweiler.” His "The God Delusion" book is a no-holds-barred assault on religious faith generally, and Christianity specifically

Like Dawkins, Dr. Lennox has dedicated his career to science, but he has arrived at very different conclusions. "It is the very nature of science that leads me to belief in God," he says. Lennox possesses doctorates from Oxford, Cambridge, and the University of Wales.

This debate is presented by Fixed-Point Foundation and will be broadcast live via the Moody Broadcasting Network on Way Truth Life Radio, at 89.9 FM WTLR, State College and 107.1 FM WQJU, Mifflintown.

More information on the Fixed-Point Foundation website

You can submit your comments about the debate and/or ask Dr. Lennox a question by clicking here

Sharathon 2007: Fun, Uplifting & Encouraging Experience

Final Total: $276,597

Sharathon 2007 is now in the history books. The three days of Sharathon were fun, uplifting and encouraging. When we closed the Sharathon Thursday evening, our total was $276,597. While this was approximately 84% of our goal, we are truly thankful for so very many of you who made a faith promise of support.

Obviously, our need for funding God's work here at CPCI remains. If you didn't get the chance to make a faith promise yet, would you mind doing so now?  You can write us here at CPCI, 2020 Cato Avenue, State College, PA 16801. Or set up your faith promise here online by clicking the "Make A Faith Promise Button".

Again, from the depths of our hearts, THANK YOU to each and every one of you who support our ministry!
